Hey guys!!! I have not been blogging for a few days because i'm very tired and i need to work. So now i shall give an update but it won't be that detailed because it is already very late now and tomorrow i still got to work. As for the rest of the photos, i will upload it some other time once i got it and when i'm, free. Ok then, i'll end here. Cya!!!
On sunday, it is x'mas eve. We met each other up at khatib MRT station at 7.30 pm. Then we took the train to plaza sing. After that, we went to have our dinner at KFC. Then at about 10 pm, we walk about at orchard road. We bought the spray foam to spray each other. Many outsiders also went to spray at us. However, after a short while at orchard area, we decided to get out of that place as it is too crowded. Everyone of us have difficulty walking about. Some people at there are really sick!!! They took eggs and threw it around. Then we also took some photos. We went home at about 1+ am.
On monday, james and i went to causeway point to visit yiyan at work. We waited for her to finish work and then we went to have dinner at the food court. After that, we went to walk around first. At about 9+, we went home.
Now, i will be giving some updates about my first 2 days of work. yesterday is my first day of work. When i reached there, i went to change. After that, one of the staff(daniel), an indian guy, for strongman department which is my department went to show my other 2 part-time strongman colleagues(syahmi and nigel) and me around. After that, he took us to outport which is the storeroom to start working. We carried and shift some shelfs and racks around. It is damn heavy. Less than an hour after i start work, i got a very small cut on my hand. I got cut from a sharp corner of a rack. I also need to push those gondola around. It is very heavy but luckily there are wheels below for me to push otherwise i sure cannot manage it. Pushing something heavy with wheels is not much of a problem. I also need to wrap those stuffs with a stingwrap. At first i dunno how to wrap one. But one of the staff(karma), taught me how to wrap and i finally knew how to do it already. My supervisor name is muthu. He is an indian guy. He looks fierce from his face and the way he talk. However, after i get to know him better, he is not really that fierce and he can also be nice. My manager name is mr yip. This manager is also a nice guy. He will ask us if we are hungry and whether we need our dinner now. He also call us to take breaks at times and go to the canteen to get some water. At about 5+, there are 2 more part-timers(gavin and keng shen) came and they are also working working me as well. Then at about 6+, i went for my dinner break with syahmi and nigel. We went to centrepoint macdonalds to have our dinner. While having dinner, we chit chat with each other to get to know each other better. After dinner, we went back to continue working. This time, i got to work with a worker(phillip) who is deaf and mute. He is so pityful. Sometimes, i will have difficulty communicating with him as i have to use sign language. I worked till 11 pm. There are blisters and scratches on my hands. Damn!!! Nevermind!!! Even though it is tough, at least i still get to train myself for NS. When i dismiss from work, i waited for robinson at somerset MRT station as he is just working nearby me and he also finishes work about the same time as me. Then we took the train and went home.
Today is my 2nd day of work. Reached work at about 2 pm. Then went to outport to wait for instructions. After that, phillip called me and syahmi to help shift those shelfs down to transfer it to the truck. After that, we went back to outport to carry stands and shelfs to the bed linnen section as they wanna change to a new set. We also transferred the gondola back to outport. At about 5+, nigel, gavin and keng shen went home as they are in the morning shift while syahmi and me went to ramen ten for dinner. After dinner, went back to continue working with phillip and syahmi. Some stuffs are really super heavy until i have really no strength to carry them. So syahmi and phillip help me. So damn paiseh!!! They can carry them but i couldn't. This shows that i'm still weak. I must continue training myself up. I finished everything at about 10 pm. Mr yip asked us to go home early as nothing is needed to be done for that day already. So he told me to come tomorrow at 1 pm to make up my working hours, but i told him i couldn't as i need to go to school to collect my good progress award. So he told me to come on friday at 1 pm lor. After i knock off, i walked and have some chat with syahmi to orchard. After that, we went home.
Overall, my job is tough but still manageable. No matter what, i must continue to persevere for another 3 more days of work. After that, i still got to find another job. The people there at work are quite nice. My new friends are also nice. Anyway, this job is a lot better than seiyu. Although it is tough, there is still something for me to do and it won't be sian. Not like seiyu just stand down there do nothing and then the time take so long to past. Some more this job as a strongman i get to earn $6.50 per hour rather than seiyu which is only $4 per hour.
