I have just read a soccer news and i've decided to blog it here as i find this story interesting and meaningful. It is actually about a manchester united player, wes brown whose current contract end this season and he is free to leave man utd then. He've rejected the current contract offered to him and in fact he actually wants more. About this soccer news, the writer, paul hince actually wrote a story and hopes that he reads it and understands not to be so greedy about money. Anyone of you can read this story including non-soccer fans.

MOST unlike him, Old Trafford's Fiery One has not phoned to tell me how much he has offered Wes Brown to extend his career with the Reds.

So I'll go along with the majority suggestion that young Wesley has been offered £40,000 a week - but he's turned it down.

He sounds a bit like Oliver Twist - "Please Sir can I have more?"

Of course, Brown is perfectly entitled to secure the best deal he can from his employers.

But on this occasion I think Wesley should take what's on the table and I'll tell you why by telling a little tale about Marie.

It's not a happy story - in fact it's a tragic one.

The exact date I first met Marie I can't recall. But it was a bitter winter's day in late January.

The phone on my desk tinkled. On the other end was the commissioner from reception who told me there was a woman downstairs asking to see me. I walked down and there she was - the most wretched woman I'd ever seen.

Bedraggled, shivering, undernourished and with bags under her eyes as big as suitcases. In her hand was a plain plastic bag.

Out of that plastic bag she pulled a City shirt. The object of her visit, she said, was to see if I could get it signed by the players.

Of course, she explained, she couldn't afford a real shirt. It was a replica she had bought for pennies off Longsight Market. It was all she could afford as a birthday present for her 12-year-old son Andrew.

Marie's story unfolded. The first shock was to discover she was only 26 years old. She looked twice that age. The man she lived with was a sadistic, drunken monster who beat and abused her.

One day - thankfully - he walked out and never returned leaving Marie alone to look after two young sons.

Marie was desperate. She knew nothing about the benefit system and was forced to feed and clothe her two sons on her measly child allowance.

With the gas and electricity turned off and rent arrears mounting, she saw only one way out and began taking loans from a backstreet lender.

As Marie finished her tale, I did something stupidly patronising. I took a £5 note out of my pocket and tried to press it into her hand.

Her withering look of utter contempt chills me to this day. And with that she left without another word, leaving my crumpled banknote on the table.

I couldn't sleep that night thinking of that poor girl's predicament and the first thing I did the next morning was to drive to Maine Road to get all the players to sign that shirt.

After work that day I drove to the address in Longsight that Marie had given me. And there was no answer to my repeated knocks.

Then the door of the house next door opened and a man came out. "No good looking for Marie," he said. "She did a runner in the early hours."

It turned out that Marie's worst fears had materialised. The money lender's thugs had arrived to collect her growing debt.

So in the early hours of a cold winter's morning she stole away with her two young sons. No friend to go to, no money and very little hope.

I never heard from Marie again and I've still got that signed shirt.

Why have I retold that story now? In the hope that Wes Brown reads it.

Wes, you were brought up in Longsight. If God had not gifted you with your great talent your life could have followed an entirely different path.

Count your blessings. Think of all the good things in life you've got.

Don't be greedy. Just be grateful that you'll never have to face the same problems as Marie. Take the offer Wes and enjoy the rest of your life.

That is all about the story. Haha!!! When you guys and girls read this story, i felt that the woman, marie is very pitiful rite? So i wanna say we shouldn't be greedy and take things for granted. By putting ourselves in marie's shoes, what would you do? I hope that like paul hince, wes brown will also really go read on what he had wrote and could count himself lucky for what god has given to him and not marie. And also, hope everyone of you guys and girls enjoy this story. =)

Hey guys and girls, it's been a long while since i last blogged. At my last post, i've said i've decided to quit blogging but i just dunno why suddenly i just felt like blogging again. Maybe i'm bored or whatsoever. Anyway whatever i've wrote in this blog for my older post is all in the past. It's all over and i don't wanna talk about it again.

Anyway, exams are over and i'm stress free. So now basically, i'm going to talk about what had happened before exams. After the projects are done, it's chinese new year. I've collected lots of ang baos during cny. On the third day and fourth day, went visiting with my secondary school cliques. Everyone of us were enjoying ourselves playing blackjacks, mahjongs, etc. As for me, it's not really that fun lah cos i'm a bit worried for the coming exams but thank goodness for now it is over. Now what i've gotta worry about is when the results released on 19th march.

After the 4th day of CNY, it is a week of study break for us. My poly cliques and i went to alvin's house for about 4 days that week to chiong for our exams. It's really a very stress week for us. And on that week thursday is valentine's day. Guess who i spent with for valentine's day? I spent it with my vb past year exam papers and notes. LOL!!! This is because of the stupid exams and i'm single. LOL!!! Anyway, at alvin's house, besides studying, we also have some great show to watch, which is alvin's sister, jenna bullying/disturbing kenny. All of us laugh like mad when we saw it.

On the exam week, all the paper basically is average lah except for iad which is slightly more difficult than what i expect. Hopefully i can do well and can maintain my gpa from last semester or improve. If not i'll be quite disappointed. Anyway, on of the exam week we went to alvin's house again. This time round, we still supposed to study but everyone of us lost our mood as it was just 1 paper left. Some of us still can play PS3 some more. Kenny some more damn gay siah go rape me until my specs bent. LOL!!! Anyway, after dinner, some of us took ruth's father's lorry to northpoint. I went to buy another red man utd t-shirt as i thought everytime when i wear red shirt for exams, the paper is manageable. But in the end, haiz!!! The iad paper standard is not what i've expected but at least it's still not as difficult as those paper which i totally cannot do. Some examples are from last semester. As for what happen in school other than the exams, everyone of us all go suan ting jun. LOL!!! You all should know why lah hor!!! It is because....4-0!!! Haha!!! Man Utd thrash arsenal 4-0 in the FA Cup fifth round. Haha!!! Kelvin, rajesh and me celebrate but TJ very sad liao. Even those non-soccer fans still suan him, especially kenny. Haha!!! Bad siah!!!

Anyway, exams are finally over and i'm stress free!!! Yay!!! So on saturday, we have our clique outing to give zhi yong a farewell party as he is withdrawing. All the best to you zhi yong for your application for DNS and it's also nice knowing you as a friend. Met kelvin at yishun MRT station and then we took the train to bugis to meet alvin, aya, ruth and jy. Then we went to food court for lunch and then zhi yong and fong yee came. After lunch, we headed over to ktv to sing. We all sing until like siao especially kelvin. Kelvin sing until everyone of us laugh like mad. Haha!!! Shoukd have video recorded it down so that we can see and hear him sing again. Then at 4+, chin guan aka fengshui master and kenny came. Why did i say chin guan is fengshui master? This is because during the exam period, he crapped on one joke on fengshui which is really crappy until all of us laugh like mad. We sang until 6+. Even alvin also sing siah!!! Alvin sing not bad leh!!! Quite nice siah he sing. After that we all headed over to cathay cineplex to watch L Change The World. Overall the movie was great but to alvin, it sux. This is because of some props which he hates spoils the whole show for him. Haha!!! It is "APPLE" notebook PC. LOL!!! When i saw L using apple, i turn to him and start laughing. LOL!!! After that we went home. Oh ya, kelvin keep saying a word start the letter with "N" to jy and then jy keep chasing kelvin until very funny siah!!! That day was such an enjoyable and memorable day for us and i really hope that i can go ktv with my poly cliques again. The most credit you will have to give to kelvin as his singing gave all of us so much laughter and also thanks to aya and alvin for organising this outing. And also to ruth, hope you have an enjoyable trip to japan and hopefully you do remember to bring some souveniers back for us hor!!! Haha!!! To kelvin, thanks for all the laughter you gave us. To all my poly cliques(Alvin, Kelvin, Kenny, Ting Jun, Chin Guan, Zhi Yong, Fong Yee, Edward, Rajesh, Ruth, Aya And JY): You guys and girls rocks and thanks for everything especially all the laughter you have given me. Never regret knowing all of you and also hopefully we can have another outing like this again as i can see that we don't really have much outing together. Maybe we should have a chalet during our next semestral holidays at september.

And not forgetting my secondary school cliques, you guys also rocks and i'm also looking forward to our chalet on 31st march. Can't wait!!! Haha!!! Hopefully it will also be an enjoyable and memorable one.

On sunday, went out with liang qin to watch CJ7. It's a very lame and funny movie which makes me laugh like mad. In the train, i saw 1 passenget carrying something which brand is "APPLE". LOL!!! Whenever i see the brand "APPLE", it will always reminds me of alvin. LOL!!!

Yesterday, went to safra for a swim with khenkiat, kenny and kwangwei. Have dinner with them and then went home.

Today, nothing and i just rot at home the whole day.

So as for this holidays, hopefully i can find a job otherwise it will be a boring holidays for me as i'm going to rot at home then. Playing games??? Today i played FM 2008 and i starting to get sian liao. LOL!!! Other games also i play until sian liao. LOL!!! That is why having a job is the only way to prevent me from wasting my time rotting at home. Actually as you can see, before holidays, we are so stress out with our projects and exams and we are so looking forward to holidays and now it is holidays and one thing bad is that it may be boring. LOL!!! So hopefully this holidays i can spent it properly by finding a job. I also can't wait for chalet and my birthday on 2nd april. Haha!!!

Ok then, i'll end here then. Cya guys and girls!!! Take Care!!! Bye Bye!!! =)
